“A Light on my Path”, the first solo show of Kenneth John Montegrande in Hong Kong ( but his 19th solo exhibit worldwide) showing his moonscape series. Montegrande is known as the “rock star” of Philippine art judging from his numerous followers, young and old alike for his cloudscape, seascape, sunscape, lighthouse and now a moonscape series. Montegrande’s ten-year rise in Philippine art is short of amazing and his works are internationally collected, including by the Tokyo Contemporary Museum, owned by the billionaire philanthropist Yusaku Maezawa, and various international collectors worldwide.
“After impressing the Western market in his sold-out New York solo, Montegrande turns his focus to his upcoming Hong Kong showcase. Making the exhibit more special is the debut of Montegrande’s moonscape series, which is inspired yet again by his faith-based messages of divine love.”
“Montegrande’s Hong Kong show was hosted by Galleria Camaya on November 15, with the opening reception set at 6pm at the Visual Arts Centre at 7A Kennedy Road, Hong Kong Island.”
“Montegrande donated part of his proceeds from the Hong Kong show to the International Care Ministries (www.caremin.com). The organization has been providing help, hope and change to impoverished families for 25 years.”
